RPF Recruitment 2018 For Male and Female Candidates.
Serving the Railway passengers to have a safe and smooth journey is the prime objective of an RPF Constable. An RPF/RPSF constable is responsible for maintaining the securities and other work related to Indian Railway.

Education Qualification:-

  • The applying candidate must have a Matriculation or equivalent (Class 10th) certificate conducted by a recognized Board.
  • Qualification obtained from institutions other than a recognized State Board or Central Board should be submitted along with the necessary documents.

Age Criteria:-

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age:  25 years

Gen/OBC Category: Rs. 100/- Only
Female/SC/ ST & Reserved Category: No fees.

1st Stage: Written Examination

Basic Info

  • Total Question: 120
  • Maximum Marks: 120
  • Time Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Marking scheme: 1(one) mark for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th marks will be deducted for incorrect answer.
  • Medium of Instruction: Hindi/English/Local Language

2nd Stage: Physical Efficiency Test

3rd Stage: Viva-Voce Test & Documents Verification.

A candidate who will qualify for both written examination and Physical Efficiency test will be called for Viva-Voce test and Document Verification. The railway Recruitment Board has set up some bonus marks for one who has performed well in other activities like NCC and other sports like cricket, Football etc. Upon the document verification, the committee will check for any other Bonus marks scored by the candidate.

4th Stage: Calculation of Bonus Marks (If Any)

Those who performed well in other activities will be allotted bonus marks as followed.
  • B Certificate of NCC – 01 marks;
  • C Certificate of NCC – 02 marks;
  • Maximum mark for NCC certificates is 02. The benefit is available only on production of Original Certificate.
  • This benefit is not available to Ex-Servicemen.
  • Represented University at inter-university sports – 01 marks
  • Represented State at inter-state sports – 02 marks
  • Represented India at international sports meet – 03 marks
  • Medal winner at national level sports meet – 03 marks
  •  A male applicant whose height is 178 cms or more and
  • A female applicant whose height is more than 165 cms will be given 03 marks as a bonus.
***NOTE: Total Bonus Marks for all categories put together shall not exceed 5.

5th Stage: Medical Test

After the calculation of the total marks and performance of a candidate, the final result will be declared. All the successful candidate will have to go for the medical test in the Railway Hospital. They will have to qualify in medical category ‘B-1’ as per the Indian Railway Medical Manual. Those wearing glasses or having a flat foot, knock-kneed, squint eye, colour blindness and other bodily defects are not eligible for appointment.

6th Stage: Initial Training

The candidates will have to undergo a rigorous initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF Training Centers or any such Institution as decided by the Railway Administration in the event of their selection. The trainee recruits will be given a stipend of Rs. 5200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Railway Rules during the period of training. Passing the Final Examination at the end of the training is a must.
